Job Description

A Leading IT Company based in Colombo is looking for 3D Artist.

About the Role :

Join our team as a Junior 3D Artist where you’ll create essential 3D assets for our VR projects. You’ll be immersed in a learning-focused environment, enhancing your skills while contributing to visually stunning and historically immersive experiences.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in creating high-quality 3D models with tools like Zbrush, Blender or Maya; focusing on sculpting, retopology, and UV unwrapping for optimal game engine performance.
• Surface models using Substance Painter, paying close attention to details that enrich visual fidelity.
• Collaborate closely with the animation team to ensure models are prepared for rigging and animation.
• Participate in creative brainstorming sessions to push artistic boundaries within the team.
• Implement and adhere to efficient asset processing workflows, including the creation of trim sheets.
• Manage digital assets with precise version control to maintain project organization and integrity.

Ideal Candidate Profile :

• Growing expertise in 3D modeling and a creative portfolio with recent work, including character models and environment assets.
• Good skills in creating game assets and a keen eye for detail.
• Eager, proactive attitude with excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Additional Skills Appreciated :

• Familiarity with game development pipelines, especially using Unreal Engine.
• Interest in learning more about animation principles and 3D model preparation for animation.
• Knowledge of Substance Designer, Marvellous Designer/Clo3D, Character Creator 4 or Meta Humans.
