Job Description

SENIOR EXECUTIVE/ EXECUTIVE – OHS & COMPLIANCE 

(LOCATION: MINUWANGODA)

Scope

To establish implement, sustain and improve, the relevant compliance standards/ initiatives, Health & Safety Functions as well as customer related sustainability activities,  across the organization and ensure timely and effective functioning, whilst enabling above scope related projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the maintenance of all Social Compliance related documentation/ filing / Dash bord in order to facilitate the successful conduct of periodic audits with regard to social compliance.
• Liaise with relevant institutes and monitor the changes/ amendments in law and educate relevant personnel/ employees on such changes in order to ensure compliance with required standards.
• Implement, monitor and sustain world-class standards/ practices in industrial safety in all areas such as personal, machinery and social in co-ordination with relevant departments in order to maintain a safe and socially accountable as well as sustainable working environment.
• Ensure the general safety of all machineries, equipment in the compound of the factory in order to ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Facilitate compliance of various ESH standards, Customer social requirements as well as social compliance certification by coordinating with auditors and by initiating action plans in coordination with other departments to ensure the continuous maintenance of stipulated standards within the factory in order to meet organizational objectives.
• Ensure Covid preventive activities and ensure the effective implementation.
• Ensure the compliance of the sub-contractor plants and ensure the customer related compliances when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree / or Higher diploma or other relevant Qualification
• 2 – 3 years of relevant work experience in compliance and OHS capacity
• IOSH/NIBOSH Diploma in OHS is considered as added qualification
• Presentation skills Analytical skills and Proficiency in English
