Role Description
The globally expanded company, Uconnect, is currently seeking a Taxation Executive based in Athurugiriya. As an Executive – Taxation, you will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance, conducting tax research, and assisting with tax planning and strategy. Your duties will include preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and managing tax liabilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare indirect and direct tax returns and schedules for timely reviews.
- Review the filling of tax returns and schedules on RAMIS on time.
- Review monthly submissions of SVAT forms and schedules on RAMS.
- Ensure timely tax payments for the company and group.
- Manage closures of activities, entries, and reconciliation of tax liability codes.
Requirements:
- Part qualification in CA/CIMA or any professional/academic qualification in taxation.
- Excellent knowledge of Sri Lanka’s tax policy.
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with RAMIS related to income tax, VAT, SVAT, and other indirect taxes.
- Knowledge of transfer pricing regulations in Sri Lanka.
- Exposure to working in an SAP environment is an added advantage.
