Job Description
Imports Coordinator must handle daily imports & logistics duties independently and under pressure. Implement 5s standards for a proper work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Source and procure import requirements.
- Ensure timely preparation of samples and prices.
- Coordinate order deliveries.
- Liaise with suppliers for material prices.
- Attend to regulatory clearances on imports.
- Coordinate with clearing agents for shipping documents.
- Arrange import duty payments.
- Handle foreign correspondence and LCs, TTs, DP, DA terms.
- Manage payments to foreign suppliers and track shipments.
- Obtain insurance for imports.
Qualifications:
- Supply chain management/logistics qualification preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of international trade and shipping terms.
- Proficient in MS Office and email communication.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizing abilities.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Prefer candidates near Moratuwa area.
