Job Description
Position Overview
The SAP Basis Level 2 Specialist is crucial in enhancing SAP systems’ performance and security by managing SAP environments, troubleshooting issues, mentoring junior members, and contributing to continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Database Management: Oversee SAP database operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure database backup and restoration.
- Landscape Management: Aid in system reconfiguration, support system refresh tasks, and improve landscape management.
- Problem Management: Resolve issues using ServiceNow, from analysis to documenting solutions.
- Release Management: Troubleshoot release-related processes and support transport management independently.
- Compliance: Manage audits, implement compliance processes, and support maintenance activities.
- Security: Implement security measures, review security standards, and handle incidents related to Basis operations.
Required Skills And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP, SAP PI, database management (HANA), and Linux environments.
- Proficient in database activities like provisioning, recovery, and upgrades.
- Familiar with cloud services like AWS and Azure.
- Ability to improve performance and monitor system health in Linux environments.
