Job Description

Akbar Brothers Group, a leading exporter of premium Ceylon Tea from Sri Lanka, is looking for a Junior Legal Officer to join their esteemed team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Protecting Intellectual Property (IP)
• Coordinating with External Counsels
• Negotiating, Drafting, and Reviewing Contracts
• Ensuring Compliance and Risk Management
• Handling Conveyancing and Notarial Work
• Coordinating with External Counsel for Litigation matters
• Overseeing Company Secretarial duties
• Providing support in various general legal matters

Prerequisites:

• Bar Admission: Must hold Attorney-at-law status
• Preferably possess a Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field with proficiency in legal documentation
• Demonstrated expertise in laws, regulations, and legal principles
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills
• High Ethical Standards and Professionalism
• Strong oral and written communication abilities
