Job Description

Responsibilities

• Ensure preparation and reviewing of all tax computations and making the payments.
• Submission of tax returns and finalization of IRD Tax Audits
• Liaison with the government revenue authorities on behalf of the Bank
• Tax Planning
• Issuing of Tax/SVAT Invoices
• Obtaining royalty tax clearances and advising the branches on WHT liability on Outward Remittances
• Submission of returns in regard to all the taxes
• Reviewing of daily/monthly GL reconciliations
• Liaison with branches and other departments for tax and GL related matters

Requirements

• Overall finance related experience of over 10 years with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience in the field of taxation.
• Full qualification in CA/ACCA or a bachelor’s degree in accountancy with a good relationship with government revenue authorities
• Ability to understand and apply tax laws and changes in the preparation process
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• A team player with a positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
• Competency in MS Office package
• Tax-related experience in a reputable audit firm is an added advantage
