Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students, addressing academic, personal, and social concerns.
• Develop and implement counseling programs and initiatives to support student success and well-being.
• Supervise and mentor junior counselors, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other campus stakeholders to develop resources and interventions to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in accordance with institutional policies and legal requirements.
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in student counseling and higher education.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Licensed or certified counselor with a minimum of five years of experience in a counseling role, preferably in a higher education setting.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of counselors.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of ethical and legal standards related to counseling practice and student confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines effectively.
