Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Procurement Executive to join our client team in Peliyagoda within the tea industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely deliveries to contribute to our continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Assess supplier performance, address issues promptly, and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, and monitor order progress.
- Achieve cost savings through effective negotiation and strategic sourcing.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and collaborate with departments for alignment.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Food & Beverages Purchasing.
- Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills, knowledge of tea packing materials is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
