Job Description
Education/Experience and Skills Requirements:
- Two to five years of work experience in corporate loans or SME divisions of banks/financial institutions
- Familiarity with/expertise in a specific sector will be an added advantage.
- Comprehensive involvement in processing credit applications and monitoring loans
- Excellent understanding of financial statements of corporates
- Degree in business/accounting/economics or professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or CA Sri Lanka
- Highly analytical mind with attention to detail
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure
Responsibilities:
- Spreading financial statements of corporates in proprietary platform
- Analysing financial statements of companies for credit appraisal
- Conducting independent research on borrower sectors
- Monitoring covenants, performing validations, and highlighting signals
- Conducting credit appraisals and preparing credit notes
- Updating SOP and documentation
- Supporting automation projects and ad hoc tasks
- Checking quality of deliverables and maintaining trackers
- Clear communication with peers and clients
