Job Description
Analyse market trends and customer preferences to select appropriate product ranges that align with company goals and current fashion trends.
Manage relationships with existing suppliers, negotiate contracts, and identify opportunities to source new suppliers to expand product offerings.
Oversee purchasing activities, including cost estimation, to ensure profitability and timely delivery of products.
Monitor performance indicators, manage stock levels, and implement strategies to optimize inventory, including managing ageing inventory, promotions, sales, and purchases.
Collaborate closely with Design and Development teams to source new and alternative products that meet customer demand and align with brand aesthetic.
Develop and implement best buying practices and processes to improve business performance, including vendor management, product assortment planning, and inventory optimization.
Conduct regular store visits to get feedback, monitor product displays, and ensure products are presented in a suitable and timely manner.
Work on improving existing product lines by identifying areas for enhancement, cost reduction, or product differentiation.
