Job Description
We Are Hiring
Senior Executive / Executive – Risk Management
Our client is one of the leading Insurance companies which is located in Colombo.
Job Profile:
- Carry out Risk Assessments at the Head Office and island-wide branches as per the Risk Management Plan
- and submit the financial reports to the superiors for review.
- Identify risks and communicate the assessment findings and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
- Examine and report weaknesses in internal control/s.
- Contribute to the execution of the Risk Management Plan.
- Assist to implement risk management policies and procedures as per the statutory requirements of the
- Central Bank of Sri Lanka and Insurance regulatory authorities with the recommendation / approval of the
- Head of Risk.
- Assist to conduct risk assessments to evaluate the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks.
- Assist in establishing mechanisms for ongoing monitoring of identified risks and reporting to the Head of
- Risk.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the Insurance sector in a similar capacity preferably in Risk Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting / Statistics / MIS / Business Analytics and / or should be partly
- qualified in ACCA / ICASL / CIMA / Risk Management.
- Prior experience in Insurance / Internal Audit / Risk Management would be an added advantage.
- Excellent understanding of systems, internal controls, processes and procedures.
- Good written / oral communication & presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Be a team player with ability to work proactively with internal customers.
