Job Description
We Are Hiring
Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
Our client is one of the leading forefront of revolutionizing the e-commerce industry with our innovative application companies which is located in Colombo.
Hours of Work: – Mon to Fri 9 am – 6pm & Sat 10am – 4pm (45 hours per week)
Reporting Line: – Directly to the IT Manager & Managing Director
Mode of work:– On site
Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for both frontend and backend components of the application
· Collaborate closely with product management and development teams to understand requirements and identify potential areas of improvement
· Design and implement automated tests using industry-standard tools and frameworks
· Perform manual testing when necessary to validate functionality and ensure a seamless user experience
· Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking systems
· Participate in release planning and deployment activities to ensure smooth and successful launches
· Mentor junior QA team members and provide guidance on best practices and methodologies
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· Proven experience working as a QA Engineer, with at least 2 – 3 years of experience.
· Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
· Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar & manual testing as well.
· Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
· Solid understanding of web and mobile application development technologies.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
